Trying to pay for college without going into debt is hard. Money can get scarce when you are trying to pay for tuition and books while rushing to class and cramming for tests. Fortunately, many businesses show support by offering student discounts.
I’ve found, in some cases, student discounts in stores are not always obvious. If you’re at a local restaurant or other retail business be sure to ask if there is a college discount. You’d be surprised at how many times there are.

Amazon Prime Subscriptions
Students can get a discount on their Amazon Prime student subscription. A membership will cost $90 per year or $7.49 per month. There are many other Amazon student savings as well.
Spotify Premium
Students get a Spotify Premium subscription with Hulu and SHOWTIME for $4.99 a month.
Apple Music
Students enrolled in degree-granting universities and colleges can join Apple Music at a discounted monthly rate of $4.99. If you have an Apple Music student subscription, you also get Apple TV+ for a limited time.
To qualify for an Apple Music student subscription, you must be a student studying a bachelor’s degree, post-graduate degree, or equivalent Higher Education course at a University, College (U.S. only) or Post-Secondary School (Canada only). Junior, technical colleges, and special courses are also eligible in Japan.
YouTube Premium Student Discount
Students can get a YouTube Premium subscription for $6.99 a month.
Pandora
Pandora offers students its Premium Membership for $5 a month.
AMC
AMC theatres have special student pricing every day at their theatres. Bring your student ID to the box office and save big on tickets for the latest movies.
Cinemark
At select Cinemark theatres across the U.S., showing a valid student ID at the box office will get you special discounts. Days, times, and other restrictions vary by location.
